Galvanized Welded Gabion Gabion box and round welded gabion for garden

Description:

Welded Gabion are manufactured from cold drawn steel wire and strictly conform to

BS1052:1986 for tensile strength. It is then electrically welded together and Hot Dip Galvanised

or Alu-Zinc coated to BS443/EN10244-2, ensuring a longer life. The meshes can then be organic polymer coated to safeguard against corrosion and other weathering effects, especially when the are to be used in salty and highly polluted environments. Our Alu-Zinc* mesh is coated using the Galfan process.

  Lacing wire shall be provided separately for site assembly. Lacing Spirals is  Alu-Zinc and stainless steel C rings are also available at extra cost if required.

   All our Organic Polymer powder coated welded mesh are designed to be equivalent to the requirements of the DETR, HA MCHW, Volume 1 Specification of Highway Works, Clause 626.

  It is composed of welded mesh panel and spring steel lacing wire.

How to install welded gabion mesh? 

Step 1. Ends, diaphragms, front and back panels are placed upright on the bottom section of wire mesh. 

Step 2. Secure panels by screwing spiral binders through the mesh openings in adjacent panels.

Step 3. Stiffeners shall be placed across the corners, at 300mm from the corner. Providing a diagonal bracing, and crimped over the line and cross wires on the front and side faces. None are needed in interior cells. 

Step 4. Gabion box is filled with graded stone by hand or with a shovel. 

Step 5. After filling, close the lid and secure with spiral binders at the diaphragms, ends, front and back. 

Step 6. When stacking tiers of the welded gabion mesh, the lid of the lower tier may serve as the base of the upper tier. Secure with spiral binders and add pre-formed stiffeners to exterior cells before filling with graded stones.
